Barramundi #939-940
Productive fishing windows came before sunrise
YO-ZURI SS-MINNOW

I had a holiday and returned to Darwin.
I went to Fannie Bay to fish for the first time in a while this early morning.
The water was very, very clear.
The sea surface was rippled.

Today's tides as follows
05:06am 2.64m
11:27am 5.82m
17:58pm 3.68m
23:22pm 4.88m

The productive fishing windows were one hour after the lowest tide today.
It came before sunrise.

Finally, I caught two barramundi.

Thank you very much.

Video movie
Queenfish #24
Squidgy Pro Mongrel
With Mr. Raymond J. JKasjan

The tides on April 5 as follows,
00:55am 2.48m
07:04am 7.03m
13:06pm 1.91m
18:57pm 7.11m

The differences between high and low tides as follows,
4.55m
5.12m
5.20m

Ideally, I can catch more barramundi in the difference of 2.5m - 4m between high and low tides on lures by land based in my fishing locations.

Seeing that we haven't had any chances to fish on shore until just few days ago because of too much freshwater and very wavy sea condition, today's conditions were not so bad for me.
The sea surface was nicely slightly wavy.

I went to the Myilly Point rocks this morning.
The sea water was very clear.
Barramundi preferably would chase live baits under the condition like this.
Even if they chase a lure, they wouldn't suck it rapidly.
I didn't catch any fish there after all.

I went to the old-man's rocks when the tide just started coming to the shallow.
The sea surface was nicely slightly wavy.
The sea water was murky.
I caught a queenfish on Squidgy Pro Mongrel.
Mr. Raymond J. Kasjan (NSW) hooked and lost his first barramundi on a soft plastic shad with 5grm/#1/0 jighead.
Having a strong pulling of the fish at the beginning, I mistook it to be a big barramundi in the movie.

Video photography was taken by Mr. Aaron Burton of NT News.

Barramundi #938
Sebile Swingtail minnow

The tides on April 4 as follows
00:29am 1.94m
06:33am 6.79m
12:41pm 1.97m
18:34pm 7:00m

The tides were not bad.
There were some productive fishing windows,
Each window has about 30minutes or 1hour.
It depends on the fishing location.
Ideally, the difference of 2.5m - 4m between high and low tide should be the best in my fishing locations.
Today's tides were not ideally though.

I went to Myilly Point rocks to fish this morning.

The sea surface was slightly wavy.
It's the best sea surface condition to fish.
The water was very clear.
I could see a barramundi's striking.
That means that it is very difficult to hook the fish completely.
Barramundi will strike the lure shortly under the condition like this.
Barramundi is very cautious in a very clear water.
After all, I couldn't catch any fish at this point.
Using a live bait, it will be the best way to fish under the condition like this.

I went to Old-man's rocks next.
The sea surface was calmly flat.
It's not a good condition for catching a nice sized barramundi.
The water was murky.
I caught a small barramundi.

By the way, I went to Lee Point rocks to fish this afternoon also.
The productive fishing window was wide enough for my land based fishing.
The sea surface was slightly wavy.
The water was murky.
The conditions were good.
But I had any fish bites there.
