Barramundi #1119
Squidgies Fish 70mm
Hard bottom

It was not likely to rain on Sunday morning.
I went fishing at Mindil beach.
A large amount of sand on the surface of the sandy area was washed away by the continuously heavy rains in this rainy season.
This phenomena may seriously the scenery.
However, this is not troublesome for the land based barramundi anglers but rather convenient for them.
Many rocks are exposed on the surface of the sandy area at Mindil beach now.
Those rocks were buried in the sand before the continuously heavy rains.
The mullet come around those rocks in the shallow water in search of food.
The mullet love tiny planktons like lettuce, detritus, algae, green algae, green sea and diatoms, hence the name "bottom-feeder".

The tide water was coming into the rocky shallow water.
First, I hooked a small barramundi but missed that fish.
Second, I hooked a 80cm - 90cm barramundi but missed that fish.
A quick watch the my video on You Tube should make the above obvious.
Finally, I caught and released a small barramundi.
I enjoyed that a lot.
I have a feeling that we will have a very good season for the land based barramundi fishing after the rainy season this year.
