My new trial will start!
From 1st. of April 2012
My fishing tackles is only 255 gm

My trial April 2011 - March 2012 finish today.

My new trial will start from 1st. of April 2012.

This is my new method.
You could see two-piece fishing rod.
And you could see a very small spinning reel.
More likely family fishing style.

Mr. Matt West's choice for my new trial.

SHIMANO STRADIC CI4 1000F
CI4 ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT CONSTRUCTION
6 S A-RB(ANTI-RUST BEARINGS)

FIRELINE 10LB on spool

Matt caught a nice sized Giant Trevally with SHIMANO STRADIC CI4 1000F.

To compare with a traditional fishing tackle as follows,

SHIMANO BAITRUNNER 4500B 680gm
and rod 260gm
Total weight = 940gm

New method:

SHIMANO STRADIC CI4 1000F 175gm
and ST.CROIX AVID/AV566lF2 80gm
Total weight = 255gm

Only 255 gm ! ヽ(*'0'*)ツ

This above reel is 255 gm now.
ABU INSHORE with lines

Woman-anglers and child-anglers can use my new method without their fatigues.

I believe that my new trial will bring more fish to me.
Oh! I'll use hard body lures again with a baitcaster tackle as well.

Thank you very much.

I'm not good at computering!

I've been told "Hiro, you're very good at computering." by some people in these days.

They're absolutely wrong!

I couldn't do without Mr. Simon Hipkin.

I'm still hesitating about replacing ink-cartridge of printer.

I couldn't find out how to print out coloring pages and other images from the browser window, and so I took a picture of the image from the browser window with a degital camera. Wow! Wow!

Simon was surprised at my method.

◎I just can manage my blogs by my self.
◎I don't know about C language, and so I can't develop a software by my self.
◎I can't build html and so I can't create a homepage by my self.
◎I don't know about SEO very well.

However, blog has been already prepared everything I needed.
While I was playing blogs, I found some phenomena on the blog.
Each phenomenon has a rule.
Each rule has a sign like a trafic sign.

Finally, I understood that I could cut or copy those signs. I could paste those signs.
Those signs should be html-tags. Is that right?
That's all!
I created my own blog.

Blogging is not computering.

Probably, all web-designers are smiling at me now.
Probably, all able affiliaters are smiling at me now.
They can understand what I meant without difficalty.
I explained how I'm not very good at computering with my own words.

On the other hand, I don't put any Google AdSences on this blog.
I know how to make some money from my blogs with Google AdSence.
But I haven't done yet.
I won't do it.

Giant Trevally
By an ultra-light tackle
Mr. Matt West

Matt was the champion of Barramundi Classic 2010.
He was the 3rd. place of Barramundi Classic 2009.

Mr. Matt West's the great champion and so his own reel is ,of course, SHIMANO STELLA.
Very very expensive!

On the other hand, Matt had tested SHIMANO STRADIC CI4 1000F.
He needed data how STRADIC CI4 worked under the condition of the salt water.

CI4 is SHIMANO's ultra light-weight material.
This STRADIC CI4 1000F weight is only 165gm.
This STRADIC CI4 has 6 S-ARB(ANTI-RUST)bearings + 1 roller.
At any rate, STRADIC CI4 is very light and very small.

Matt's fishing rod was Gloomis 8LB line weight at that time.

Nice sized GT was caught by an ultra light-weight tackle by Mr. Matt West.

Thanks to Matt's experiment, we could understand that this very small reel and very light rod did work for strongly powerful fish.

Do you remember that Matt tested a very small #1000 sized toy-reel for catching nice sized Barramundi the other day?

Matt's experiments gave me an idea for my next trial from coming April.

Correction
NOODLING?

I received e-mail from Mr. Stephen Lew on 28th. March 2012.
Hi Hiro,
You might have to make up a new term for it.
If you google Noodling it generally refers to a method of catching large catfish with your hands only.
Stephen

Stephen is a very good fishing-mate and friend of mine.
Thank you very much for your giving me this very important information.

I think that noodling means a fishing style with a high performance small spinning reel, light spinning rod and line-system here.
However, I don't want to confuse them.

I won't use it.

Thank you very much.

My trial will be over until the end of March.

I found miscounting from the results last month.
I counted all pictures in my blog again.

I've caught 360 Barramundi by land based (non boat access) in the region of Darwin City since April 2011.
(I was absent from Darwin for one month in April-May 2011.)

Barramundi 360
Barracuda 3
Catfish 15
Golden snapper 1
Flathead 5
Giantherring 1
Ladyfish 3
Longtong 2
Mangrovejack 20
Pufferfish 1
Queenfish 4
Rockcod 83
Tarpon 8
Trevally 4

Totally, 510 fish for 11 months by lure (27th. March 2012 now)

Thanks to SQUIDGY FISH and Light spinning tackles. I could make these results.

My choices
SQUIDGY FISH/MINT JELLY → Clear water and night time
SQUIDGY FISH/SILVER FOX → ★ Almighty ★
SQUIDGY FISH/DROP BEAR → Very murky water
SQUIDGY FISH/BLACK GOLD → Very murky and muddy water and night time

By the way, I went fishing to Point A last night.
Mr. Tim Bishop was there.

The tide was good.
The weather was good.
The sea wasn't wavy.

But we couldn't catch any fish.
We didn't have any fish-bites last night.

March should be a very difficult season for the land based fishing on the shore.

That's the same as September.

Please tell me why?
I don't know the reason why.

I am proud of you.
My good fishing-mates
By land based
Great Darwin!
Great Barramundi!

The sea of Darwin isn't suitable for swimming or surfing because of Box Jelly Fish and Crocodiles.
But this sea water should be one of the best water for the land based fishing near the modern city.

I think that many people don't know how to enjoy fishing with lures by land based on the shore very well.

I start an article of my land based Barramundi fishing on the paper today.
Mr. Dave Krantz is supporting this project very much.

I hope this project will bring more attractive family fishing platforms to the shore.
However, the land based fishing on the shore has many dangerous situations.

1. Very slippery rocks
2. The tide changes
3. Wavy waters
4. Box Jell Fish
5. Crocodiles
6. Mosquitos and Sandflies
7. etc.

The latest technologies of reels, rods, lines and lures made Barramundi fishing and other fishings something simple to use.

Woman-anglers and child-anglers can use those fishing tackles without difficulty now.

Please don't forget
Put on gloves to protect your hands from getting injured and non-slip boots by slipping and falling on the rocks.

Please consider as follows,

This environment of the land based fishing on the shore will change to worse quickly because of the quality of the sea water now.
We can't leave this environment-situation like this now.
I think the population of mullets decreased sharply on the shore.
Popularizing the land based fishing by lures, I belive that this environment will be made various improvements in the water quality by people. Attracting the interest of many people should be the best method.

Let's bring much more Barramundi to the family fishing platforms on the shore!
I strongly believe that it'll be very possible.

On the other hand, I heard that many able fishing guides gave up their business.
Not only boat fishing, popularizing the land based fishing by lures, I belive that it will be the best method for attracting domestic and foreign tourists to the fishing in Darwin.

I am proud of you, my good land based fishing-mates.
I would like to express my appreciation to following highly experienced and skilled land based Barramundi anglers.

Mr. Allan Warchot.
Mr. Ben Maunder.
Mr. Carlo Chonga Esmaquel.
Mr. Edmond Fong.
Mr. Sam Lew.
Mr. Shannon Holopainen.
Mr. Stephen Lew.
Mr. Steve Osborne.
Mr. Tim Bishop.

You showed your fishing techniques, fishing tackles and safety gears for my blog generously to me evry time.
And even now, you are supporting my activities.
Thank you very much, my good friends.

Let's establish a very nice land based fishing by lures together!

I would like to express my appreciation to the readers, NT News and Mr. Dave Krantz.
Thank you very much.

Barramundi 463

SQUIDGY FISH
Rainy Season
バラマンディールアー

March should be a very tough season for fishing by land based.
September is also a very quiet season for fishing by land based.
Both March and September are at a change in the season.

It's a fine day today.
The tides were good.
The sea wasn't very wavy.
Using an ordinary fishing tackle, probably, any fish won't eat lures tonight.

According to Mr. Dave Krantz,

Hi Hiro,

I see from your blog that the poor conditions are not keeping you from catching a few fish.
Also pleased to see you seem to be using light gear - Glenn Hubble and myself among others call this approach 'noodling' due to the light rods involved. Phil Newton and Matt West are the first guys that I am aware of to use this finesse approach with great success. Hubble is also a big fan of the st croix rods.

I'm not very familiar with the word as Noodling.

What is "NOODLING"? ♪~( ̄。 ̄)

I think that noodling means a fishing style with a very high performance light spinning reel, spinning rod and line-system.

Is that right?

Noodling is popularizing because many able Barramundi anglers have already been using it in Darwin.

I know these following very skilled Barramundi anglers use "NOODLING" now.
I respect them very much.
And I like these Barramundi anglers very much.

Mr. Allan Warchot.
Mr. Carlo Chonga Esmaquel.
Mr. Dave Krantz.
Mr. Glenn Hubble.
Mr. Keith Watson.
Mr. Mario Clancy Faggion.
Mr. Mark West.
Mr. Marty Krantz.
Mr. Matt West.
Mr. Phil Newton.
Mr. Ronald Voukolos.
Mr. Sam Lew.
Mr. Shannon Holopainen.
Mr. Stephen Lew.
Mr. Steve Osborne.
Mr. Steve STARLO Starling.
Mr. Tim Bishop.

Noodling is not only for catching a small Barramundi now.
I know that Mr. Mark West caught some 90cm and larger Barramundi with SQUIDGY FISH 65mm by Noodling.

The latest technologies of reels, rods, lines and lures made Barramundi fishing something simple to use.

Mr. Matt West who was Great champion of Barramundi Classic 2010 is interested in using a very small and light tackle now. He tested a very small #1000-size spinning reel for catching nice sized Barramundi.

My fishing rod now is probably the thinest blanks in an above Barramundi anglers becaus of my fishing location.
Ultra noodling!
That means that my spinning rod is a very thin high performance rod.

That's what reminded me.
Mr. Carlo Chonga Esmaquel had used the thinest noodling same as mine.

However, Noodling has a problem. Only problem with Noodling is as follows,

When casting a lure overhead with a long swinging line, lure hit me squarely in the head or ear.
It's very dangerous.
Be careful!

I believe that "NOODLING" brought more fish to me.

I received e-mail from Mr. Stephen Lew on 28th. March 2012.

Rainy Season
バラマンディールアー

The water was very muddy and milky today.

I used to use SQUIDGY FISH/DROP BEAR for a very muddy water.
But I thought that SQUIDGY FISH/BLACK GOLD should be more attractive to Barramundi in this rainy season, especially March.

I thought that March should be a very difficult season for tha land based Barramundi fishing same as September.
I couldn't expect any nice sized Barramundi in March.

My catches today were all small in size.

I was very lucky.
The leader line knot with a clip came loose just after landed Barramundi.

I received e-mail from Mr. Dave Krantz tonight.

Hello Hiro

Fished the harbour today. 7 barra but only one legal one for Roger Sinclair who gave me and Marty a barra lesson! Rog also got a threadfin salmon.
In between barra we got some nice flathead too and the smallest fish I have ever hooked on a lure (see pic). Also a big tarpon around 50cm fork length.
Pic attached of Marty with a flathead
The Mongrel worked well rigged weedless - I prefer a lighter weight than it comes with originally.

cheers - Dave Krantz
